Growing up in Atlanta, Luney Tunez, whose born George Jackson, was exposed to legends of hip-hop such as Kilo Ali, Lil John, and Dr Dre to name a few. After his playing days in the marching band he stepped out on faith with a Yamaha keyboard and a dream and hence Luney Tunez was born, "I got started when I was young. I had an old Yamaha keyboard and just fooled around with different melodies." He tells Big Mouth Magazine how he worked his way around the Fruity Loops program, "I started off with 2.7 when they came out with the program. I stayed at it til I mastered it." He entered a couple of showcases and open mics and found himself signing with Decatur music mogul Big Block Ent. Before the ink was dry on the three year production deal, Luney Tunez went hard to work creating mega hits for Block’s stable of artist Boyz in Tha hood, Young Joc and more. Since then Luney Tunez has become one of the hottest producers in the game. At 25 years old he has a 100 and counting production credits in the likes of Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Jim Jones, Gorilla Zoe and Future with his latest mixtape "Astronaut Status' . He's currently the face of Xsquad DJs Coalition and has garnered national recognition from major publications like XXL and Hip-Hop Weekly. And although producing is his favorite, Luney Tunez has solidified himself as a lyricist with his street banger, "Powerful DrawZ" featuring Young Joc & Gorilla Zoe. With high anticipation of releasing his next mixtape, which has the single, 'Ack A Fool'. Luney Tunez tells Big Mouth Magazine, "I'm trying to bring back the old Atlanta, dread shaking days." Therefore you can expect some old school classics, some new stuff and some for the ladies. And when it comes down to it he's definitely all about the business. He directed and edited his own video 'Pre Game' which you can catch on Youtube. Showing no signs of slowing down because as he states it, "if you're not busy you broke." Luney Tunez tells Big Mouth Magazine about his nitch for fashion and wanting to try something different, "I have a clothing line called 'Beat Juug'. (Beat Juug: The accumulation of revenue as a result of producing original musical compositions.) We have have hoodies, t-shirts and jackets."
